General Principles
The following principles outline in broad terms some of the values that shape the way we do business.
Confidentiality and discretion - We keep your information private, confidential, and secret.
Deep contemplation - It is better to take the necessary time to make a good decision than to risk error by rushing it.
Proportionality - There is no sense in using a sledgehammer to hang a picture. By keeping in mind the scope of our projects, we can allocate our time most effectively.
Balance - We try to spend enough time on the tasks that maximize our productivity and happiness.
Legality - We strive to comply with all applicable laws, and do not knowingly assist others in illegal activities.
Minimal response - Most problems can be solved without throwing everything away. It is often better to treat a problem on its own terms than to apply a cookie-cutter solution with potentially unwanted consequences.
Managing Conflicts of Interest - It is not enough simply to avoid conflicts of interest. Conflicts can arise through staff or officers of TCEG which have nothing to do with TCEG, and TCEG demands a first position in ensuring that, as a company, it is not in a conflict of interest.
